Cracked Heels & Dry Skin

Cracked heels are caused by thick or dry skin, on and around your heels. There are no oil glands on the soles of the feet, so your heels may lose suppleness and elasticity due to lack of moisture. When dry skin starts to split it can lead to unsightly, painful and even bleeding cracked heels.

For the most effective cracked heel treatment, we recommend daily moisturising using a urea-based moisturiser. Urea is one of the most effective natural moisturising ingredients.  It is found in the epidermis and plays a vital role in maintaining the skin's moisture balance and the suppleness of the skin. It is non-toxic and non-allergenic.

Consistent use of an abrasive rasp/paddle on dry, rough areas of the feet can also significantly reduce dry skin, promoting better foot health.
